Swim Instruction at the Upper Dublin Community Pool
Email Print

Children attending summer camp at the North Hills Learning Center (NHLC), taking advantage of the cool, clear water during the hot summer, participated in the “Learn To Swim” program held at the Upper Dublin Community Pool (UDCP) in North Hills during the month of July. The kids worked on basic swimming skills and safety and discovered that swimming is a lot of fun! Swim instructors Rachel Henninger, Ellie Houser, Emily Houser, Emeline Leyens, John Mariotz, Liza McDevitt and Carolyn Meier had a blast teaching aquatic skills and showing the kids how exciting it is to learn how to swim. A big thanks to the instructors, the UDCP staff and the NHLC camp counselors for their efforts in making the lessons a success.

The program was sponsored by the Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and organized through the collaborative efforts of Derek Dureka (Upper Dublin Parks & Recreation Director), Elisha Gee (North Hills Learning Center Summer Camps Educational/Recreational Coordinator) and Kate Scheuer (Upper Dublin Aquatic Club Director and Upper Dublin Community Pool Assistant Manager).Photo
