A number of programs will be available to SRC Explorers. The funding is provided by Friends of Upper Dublin Library, so Explorers will be able to attend at no charge. Some of the programs planned are: - Summer Reading Club 2011“One World, Many Stories” Kick-Off with Peter Moses. The whole family will enjoy this lively program of music from around the world! For all ages. - Special Story and Craft Times “One World, Many Stories”. For ages 3-7 yrs. - A visit from Elmwood Park Zoo’s Zoo-on-Wheels! Come see animals from around the world! For children ages 6 and up - The Story of Our Flag! Meet Betsy Ross and learn about the history of our flag. For ages 5 and up Visit the Upper Dublin Public Library at 805 Loch Alsh Ave., in Fort Washington. learn about all the summer events by calling 215-628-8744 or visit upperdublinlibrary.org. The Summer Reading Club for teens in grades 6 through 12, will also be getting started soon. Sign up for “You Are Here!” has already started. Hop on board and you could win cool prizes for submitting reviews to the Teen Blog, attending teen programs or both! Don’t miss the chance to set sail this summer on a fantastic voyage of programs! This is From a Book? The Upper Dublin Public Library asks the question: This is From a Book? Hollywood loves turning books into movies. Are they as good? Read Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker, then go to the library from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21st, to see the movie and talk. Pizza too! Register by calling 215-628-8744. Journey Through Art Teens can emulate Picasso with a “Journey thru Art” on June 30th at the Upper Dublin Public Library, 805 Loch Alsh Ave., in Fort Washington.
