Four Shoemaker Scholarships were presented by the Ambler Rotary Club following the school year at the local service club’s annual changeover dinner meeting. The scholarships amount to $7,000 each and are funded through the John and Helen Shoemaker Trust and given to four outstanding students each year - two from Upper Dublin High School and two from Wissahickon High School. The award winners best exemplify the Rotary motto "Service Above Self."

The four winners were: Joshua Bowman from Wissahickon who will be attending Stanford University; Trish Lala from Wissahickon who will be attending Johns Hopkins University; Taylor Loughery from Upper Dublin who will be attending Bucknell University; and Je Un Park from Upper Dublin who will be attending the University of Delaware.
