Turning Down the Heat in Your Home: How to Keep From Boiling Over with Anger is the next program scheduled for July 6th. Anger is a frightening and yet inevitable emotion experienced by both parent and child. Learn how to handle anger in healthy ways that preserve your child's self-esteem and that maintain and build a positive relationship between you as you confront the challenges of parenting. This workshop will be held at the Giant Super Food Store, Community Center, 315 York Road, in Willow Grove beginning at 7:00 pm. Other workshops include: Hear and Be Heard: Skills for Healthy Communication, Tuesday, July 12th; Coping with Sibling Rivalry, Wednesday, July 20th; Using Rules for Discipline that Works, Wednesday, July 27th; In adddition to the workshops, The Center for Parenting Education offers online workshops, online articles, parent and child activities, discussion groups, and personal coaching for parents.
