Scouts Help Animal Groups
Email Print
The Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 7135 are working on their Bronze
Award by helping animals. Posing with Steven Conway, the Humane
Educator at the Montgomery County SPCA are (l to r) Samantha Spector,
Lin Choi, Lindsey Spector, Sophia Thornburg, Tori Casale, Jessica
Baginski, Ellen Kim and Anna Gaal, Jackie Gallen and Allie DeMichele.
The girls delivered a number of beds, toys and biscuits to the SPCA;
some they collected from neighbors and friends and some they made
themselves.
The troop also helped the Montgomery County Animal Response Team
(MontgoCART) by collecting cans, making cat toys and paperweights and
also did a lot of collating paperwork for them. Their volunteer-based
agency helps care for pets in local crisis situations until the
owners can take them again.
The members of Troop 7135 are 5th graders at Maple Glen Elementary
School. Troop Leaders (not pictured) are Kris Baginski and Stacey
DeMichele.
