The Won Community Service Center and Won Buddhism of Philadelphia has
announced that they have awarded four $500 scholarship awards to
local, outstanding high school seniors in the Delaware Valley region.
One of the recipients was Julia Campbell of Plymouth Whitemarsh High
School.
The scholarship winners were chosen from a pool of outstanding
candidates based on academic records, extra-curricular activities,
and civic volunteer activities. A panel of judges make their
selections after reviewing qualifications and a personal interview
process.
Four scholarships are awarded annually and applications are available
in February of each year on the website www.woncommunity.org.
