RSVP of Montgomery County is offering free, confidential Medicare information to beneficiaries and their families. As the first baby- boomers are turning 65 this year, understanding Medicare insurance options will become increasingly important. Information about Medicare health care options, Part D prescription drug plans and enrollment will be available. Appointments are available every Tuesday, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Call 610-834-1040, ext. 20 to schedule an appointment Apprise volunteer counselors are specially trained by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging You will need to take your Medicare card, a list of prescriptions and other insurance cards (PACE, VA Tri-Care, etc.) RSVP promotes volunteer service among area residents age 50 and older and provides opportunities for these volunteers to fully employ their talents and experiences to meet critical community needs. Over 1,300 area volunteers currently assist over 300 area non-profit organizations with varied tasks. RSVP is always recruiting additional volunteers to participate in outreach programs that serve our greater community.
