The Rotary Club of Ambler presented the 2011Shoemaker Scholarships. These awards amount to $7,000 each toward higher education and are funded through the John and Helen Shoemaker Trust. they are awarded to four outstanding area students, two from Upper Dublin High School and two from Wissahickon High School. The winners are considered those who best exemplify the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self." Pictured above are (left) Naiga Cottingham from Upper Dublin who will be attending the University of Pittsburgh and Anil Chitrapu from Wissahickon who will be attending Penn State University. Also awarded were Ke Li from Upper Dublin and Kelly Pierce from Wissahickon who were not available for photos.
