Eighteen young women took part in the second annual Colonial School
District Girls in Technology Summer Academy in June. The Girls in
Technology Summer Academy introduces female students entering grades
five through eight to various engineering and technology concepts
over a two-week period. Students participate in graphic design and
digital photography, elements of Web design, animation and gaming,
inquiry investigations and robotics.
