All are invited to a ‘Help Sent to Sudan’ coffeehouse at the Ambler Church of the Brethren on Friday, June 10 at 7:30pm. Featured will be a mother and daughter team speaking about the ‘Give a Girl a Chance’ program in Sudan. This program is run by New Community Project (NCP), a small non profit organization headed by David Radcliff. NCP gives 100% of the donations to the areas they support. They support women's projects and girls education in developing countries including Sudan, Nepal, and Burma. Be there to learn about the wonderful story of Donna and Sarah Parcell. They are eager to share the experience they have received, complete with pictures from Sudan. Also as part of the program there will be an appearance by talented Philadelphia area pianist Alex Panku. Originally from Romania, Mr. Panku studied with Harvey Wedeen at Temple University. He plans to present an amazing program with short selections by Bach, Chopin and others. The church is located at 351 E Butler Avenue, Ambler, PA. The building is one block west of Bethlehem and Butler Pike, where Butler Pike intersects with Rosemont Avenue. Parking is behind the building in the church lot. For more information please call the church at 215-646-1190. Refreshments will be served and the event is free. Donations are appreciated.
