Calligraphy is defined in the dictionary as the art of beautiful
writing. It is derived from the Greek words Kallos (beautiful) and
Graphi (writing). Calligraphy has evolved a great deal from being an
ancient art form to being one of the most popular hobbies.
Boomer U at at 45 Forest Avenue in Ambler will offer a series of
classes beginning on Tuesday. September 13th.
No artistic skills are required. These classes will show you the
basic techniques of calligraphy, using a felt-tipped calligraphy pen.
You’ll acquire a great foundation in calligraphy. Learning the art of
calligraphy as a hobby is not expensive and, in fact, this is a hobby
that rewards you with praise plus an additional source of income, if
you choose to pursue that. It’s an expression of the beauty within
that shows up in your hand writing and wins you laurels every time
you pen a word.
