| 5K Run and Fun Walk on June 15 |

The community is invited to attend the annual Summer Solstice 5K Run
and 2-mile walk sponsored by the Ambler Area YMCA -- rain or shine --
on Wednesday, June 15th at 6:30 pm at Wissahickon High School. This
family event has become a much-anticipated, bring-on-the-summer
activity! Free Dri-fit microfiber T-shirt to the first 700 registered
runners, free supervised activities for kids while Mom and Dad
exercise, refreshments and Olympic style finish at WHS Stadium. The
certified 5K course, with Chip timing, takes a fast and flat route
through a residential area, a nature trail and finishes with a lap
around the stadium track. Awards are presented to overall male and
female runners, 1st, 2nd, 3rd; and age group awards to top three
male and female runners, 12 and under, teens, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's,
60’s and over. Online pre-registration: adults $25, children 10 and
under $12. Race Day: Adults $30, Children 10 and under $12. Proceeds
from the run support childcare at Upper Dublin and Wissahickon
schools, summer camps, aquatics, teen activities, financial
assistance for membership, and a number of other programs promoting a
